Legal Counsel of FOR SA
Nadene is a duly qualified Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.
Having obtained a BA LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch, Nadene was awarded a scholarship to study a LL M degree in International Human Rights Law at the University of Essex, United Kingdom which she obtained cum laude. During her studies, she was also selected to do an internship at the United Nations Secretariat in New York.
Upon her return to Cape Town, Nadene completed her candidate attorneyship at Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs (then Sonnenberg Hoffmann Galombik) and was duly qualified and admitted as an attorney. She then decided to pursue a career as an Advocate instead, and was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa. After completion of her pupillage, she was admitted as a member of the Cape Bar and practiced as such for a number of years, specialising amongst others in commercial law and public law.
During this time, Nadene also served as a part-time lecturer in constitutional and public law at UNISA and most recently in commercial law at the University of the Western Cape. Prior to joining the FOR SA team, Nadene was employed as the in-house Legal Counsel at a multi-national company.
When Nadene met Jesus in 2005, her life changed radically from the one day to the next. Although Nadene at that time already sensed that she might someday work full-time for the church, she asked the Lord to use her workplace as a place of ministry and has many testimonies of Him ministering salvation, encouragement, healing and deliverance of colleagues and clients.
Since her salvation, Nadene has faithfully served as a member, worship and home group leader in Joshua Generation Church (JoshGen). She is currently a deaconess and full-time employee of the church. Nadene is a director of the Family Policy Institute (see www.familypolicyinstitute.com for more information). Having a heart for orphans and for the poor, she also serves as a director of the i-Foundation (see www.ifoundation.co.za for more information) and an advisor to the Board of iKhaya le Themba (see www.iklethemba.co.za for more information).
